WHO ARE WE?
The Cambridge School of Tutors is a new initiative by Collegium Wratislaviense in partnership with Dr Alison Gray. Collegium was established in 2010 and has become a leading centre for personalized education in Poland. Over 6,000 participants from academic, teaching, business and social organizations have completed Collegium’s programmes. The idea for the Cambridge School of Tutors formed after the CEO of Collegium Wratislaviense, Piotr Czekierda, invited Dr Alison Gray to be a keynote speaker at the IX International Congress of Tutoring in Wrocław, Poland in 2022. Alison has over 20 years’ teaching experience in secondary and tertiary education. Inspired by the model and success of tutor training in Poland, Alison recognised the potential for a bespoke and structured approach to tutoring in the UK, to complement the provision that already exists.
The Cambridge School of Tutors fits perfectly with Collegium Wratislaviense’s mission to inspire greatness. By this we mean the ability to set thrilling, ambitious goals and the readiness to successfully achieve them. We understand greatness as greatness of spirit, called magnanimity since ancient times, which is linked to the values of goodness, truth and beauty. Combining timeless values with effective tools and reliable knowledge is the secret of the Collegium’s effectiveness.
